Cuneonavicular Joint

articulatio cuneonavicularis

The cuneonavicular joints connect the navicular to the three cuneiform bones, forming part of the midfoot stability complex. They are closely bound by strong dorsal and plantar cuneonavicular ligaments and allow minimal independent movement. Arthritic changes at these joints from rheumatoid arthritis or post-traumatic causes produce midfoot pain.

Region: Foot & Ankle
