Clinical Notes

The ascending genicular vein is encountered during medial approach to the distal femur and in medial condyle tumour resection. It contributes to the venous drainage of the medial knee compartment in total knee arthroplasty and is the venous pedicle companion in medial knee perforator flap surgery.
