Peroneus digiti minimi is a small anomalous peroneal muscle present in approximately 21% of individuals. It runs from the lower fibula to the fifth toe, providing additional eversion force.

Peroneus digiti minimi can compress the sural nerve or superficial peroneal nerve when hypertrophied. It is identified in anatomical dissections of the lateral leg and may be confused with peroneus tertius.
