Region: Neck
Clinical Relevance

Clinical Notes

Cervical transverse process bursitis contributes to deep lateral neck pain reproduced by deep palpation of the transverse process tips. It is adjacent to the brachial plexus roots and the vertebral artery, making injection technically demanding. Ultrasound guidance identifies the transverse process and guides periosteal injection.
