Clinical Notes

The lateral cuneiform is intermediate in size between the medial and intermediate cuneiforms and forms the lateral boundary of the central Lisfranc joint. Fractures of the lateral cuneiform typically occur as part of Lisfranc complex injuries and are assessed on weight-bearing radiographs and CT for displacement and instability.
