Clinical Relevance

Clinical Notes

Colon cancer usually spreads first to paracolic nodes. At least 12 nodes are examined after bowel cancer surgery for accurate staging, and node involvement often decides whether chemotherapy is offered.

Pathology

Common Injuries & Conditions

Colorectal Cancer Nodal Metastasis

Spread of colon cancer to paracolic nodes, upstaging the disease.
